Meeting opened at 7:45p.m.

Present: Paula, Marie, Shawn, Marianne, Ann-Marie, Tracy, and Laura

Minutes were read from the June 24, 2008 meeting.  Marianne moved to accept seconded by Paula – Approved

 Treasurers Report:  As of August 4, 2008 we have a balance of  $68.58 in the Royal Bank.  Marianne moved to accept the treasurer’s report seconded by Tracy – Approved

 Correspondence:

 Laura/Paula reported on the 100 mile diet challenge for fair weekend.

Received some valuable gatekeeper information from Campbellford & Norwood fairs.

 Business From the Minutes

 Advertising Director:  Deb Walsh has shown some interest in helping us.  She will need a lot of guidance from us with regard to details of the fair.  Perhaps Cherie could work with her this year show her the in’s and out’s of what she was working on. 

Advertising:

          -   Get quote from sign fix for the roadside signs, street banner

-         Paint new billboard sign for 45 high way

-         Change date of existing billboard signs          

-         Kerry Bandy has offered a corner of her lot for a derby sign perhaps a car.  She is willing to paint one if we supply the materials.

-         3 fold brochure is done going out this week

-         Hand out brochure at major rural ramble stops

Cramahe Fun Riders Show

Paula is talking to Garth Hogg in regards to a team penning fencing unit.  We would like to put the donation from the rodeo towards the horse show fencing and ribbons. 

Agriculture Displays:

Dairy Farmers Ontario – setting up milk booth. Milk sample yet to be determined

Cattlemen’s association – Most likely

Pork Producers – No commitment

Out standing Items…a lot of unanswered questions

Ball Tournament – Are we serving beer?  License needs to happen ASAP

Derby Sponsorship? Do we have any?

Blacksmith? Is he coming?

Amusements Contract? Laura needs a copy of it. does he need a down payment?

Amusement attendants? Who is running these rides?

Mini Car raffle? What cars are we getting?

Gate? Has the service club been asked?
